China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation Holds 2025 Mid-Year Operating and Performance Analysis Meeting

On July 21st, China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group) held its 2025 mid-year operating and performance analysis meeting.

The Operations Management Department and the Financial Management Department of CMEC Group Headquarters reported on the completion of the operating indicators for the first half of the year, progress on the “entity-based” initiatives, business collaboration, and financial performance.

The key leaders or heads of operations from member enterprises, including China Ocean Aviation Group, CAMCE, China United Engineering Corporation, SINOCONST, SIPPR Engineering Group Co., Ltd., and CMEC, reported on their respective companies’ progress in achieving the key operational and financial indicators for the first half of the year.

Fang Yanshui, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of CMEC Group, conveyed the spirit of the mid-year work meeting of SINOMACH and provided a summary of CMEC Group’s performance in the first half of the year. Fang emphasized that, in the first half of 2025, CMEC Group focused on high-quality development as its primary task, maintaining steady development, with total profits reaching more than half of the annual profit target. The group also made notable achievements in market expansion, reform and development, technological innovation, and internal collaboration. However, the group also faces significant pressures and challenges in its ongoing efforts.

The meeting discussed the key priorities for the second half of the year and made work arrangements in eight main areas:

1. Ensure “Autumn Harvest”and Achieve Annual Targets

The group will do its utmost to ensure that the annual goals are achieved.

2. Evaluation and Planning for the 14th Five-Year Plan and the 15th Five-Year Plan. The evaluation and summary of the 14th Five-Year Plan will be conducted, and preparations for the 15th Five-Year Plan will begin.

3. Overseas Business

Overseas operations will rigorously implement the strategies and requirements of SINOMACH’s high-quality international business development meeting and the “Implementation Opinions on High-Quality International Business Development,”focusing on strengthening the foundation, improving quality, and fostering innovative growth.

4. Domestic Business

Domestic operations should align with policy guidance, keep pace with the industrial and sectoral development trends, accelerate transformation, eliminate outdated production capacity, and actively position in new high-potential industries. Special focus will be placed on high-quality projects with complex processes and technical requirements, where CMEC Group’s technological integration advantages can be fully utilized, thus creating a competitive edge through differentiation.

5. New Positioning as a “Technology-Driven and Specialized Engineering Company”CMEC Group will focus on the integration of technological innovation, emerging industries, and new quality productive forces, considering all three in a unified manner. It will deploy innovation along the industrial chain, leveraging the innovation chain to enhance the value chain.

6. Enhance Collaboration and Resource Coordination

Continued efforts will be made to enhance collaboration and resource integration, expand the application scenarios of “big collaboration,” and promote the “go-global” strategy for CMEC equipment.

7 Risk Control and Safety Management

The group will maintain a strict focus on risk prevention, ensuring that production safety remains a top priority.

8. Financial Control and Cost Reduction

Efforts will be made to reduce “two funds” (accounts receivable and inventory), clear up arrears, manage costs effectively through cost labs, and strictly control the risks of advance payment.

External directors of CMEC Group, the Fourth Supervisory Office of SINOMACH, CMEC Group’s leadership team, as well as the leadership teams and department heads of member enterprises, Category A and Category B companies under SINOMACH, participated in the meeting either in person or via video conference.
