On July 22nd, in order to guide member enterprises in accurately assessing the domestic and international industry development situation and promote the exchange of planning experience and sharing of achievements, the Industry Development and Policy Suggestions Committee of the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) held its 2025 annual meeting and the exchange meeting on the “15th Five-Year Plan” preparation for foreign contracting enterprises. Li Xiaoyu, Vice General Manager of SINOMACH, and Vice Chairman and Committee Chair of CHINCA, was invited to attend the meeting. Xie Ke, Vice General Manager of CMEC Group, was also invited to attend and delivered a speech.

Xie Ke provided an overview of the initiation and progress of CMEC Group’s “15th Five-Year Plan.” He systematically introduced the work objectives of “one enhancement, two services, and three transformations,” which are: enhancing the functional value and core competitiveness of the entire engineering industry chain; better serving the country’s major strategies and the group’s primary responsibilities; and driving the business focus towards industrial sectors, the industrial value chain toward high-end development, and the company’s competitive advantage towards a “technology innovation + advanced equipment + international operation” core strength. Xie also offered suggestions on how the international engineering contracting industry can achieve high-quality development.

The meeting was attended by Zhang Xiang, Vice Chairman of CHINCA, Yao Danbo, Secretary-General, members of the Industry Development and Policy Suggestions Committee, as well as representatives from consulting organizations such as the Economist Intelligence Unit. The meeting was live-streamed and attracted widespread attention from industry enterprises.
