Recently, a reporter of Xinhua News Agency visited Potosi Province, Bolivia, and reported the Uyuni lithium carbonate plant project undertaken by CMEC Group Headquarters (CMEC).
In September 2018, CMEC Group Headquarters (CMEC) signed an EPC contract on the construction of the lithium carbonate plant in the Uyuni Salt Flats. The location of the project is about 3,700 meters above sea level. The contract involved process package improvement, construction drawing design, civil engineering, installation, equipment supply, and personnel training for the lithium carbonate plant, aiming to build a battery-grade lithium carbonate production line with an annual output of 15,000 tons.
Site safety manager Song Laichun introduced the technological process and plant of the project, which is currently crashing the schedule so as to achieve mechanical completion in early November this year and promote development and utilization of local salt lake resources.
Project design representative Wu Sheng introduced the abundant resources and utilization value of local salt lakes. Salt lake economy is a circular economy that currently prevails in the world and has great potential. At present, the project is at the stage of preliminary mining undertaken by the Chinese side. There is a great room for cooperation between the two sides in relevant fields of salt lake development in the future, and it is expected to yield social and economic returns.

Live News, a CCTV news channel, has made a report on the CRRC Baise New Energy Equipment Industry Base Project jointly undertaken by CRRC and China Machinery International Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CMIC), which is affiliated to CMEC Group Headquarters (CMEC).
Located at the Shenbai Industrial Park, Sitang Town, Youjiang District, Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the project covers an area of  400.68 mu and a floor area of 138,000 square meters. Upon completion, it is expected to produce 130 5MW-7.5MW wind turbines, 200 5MW-7.5MW blades and 150 5MW-7.5MW tower barrels. With the goals of energy saving, cost reduction and pollution control, the project aims to build a wind turbine production base by using advanced and applicable manufacturing technologies and workmanship, efficient and reliable equipment and modern design methods.
Upon completion, the project will become the largest wind power industry cluster base in Guangxi and provide services for the entire southwest China. It is a landmark project for accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the local industrial structure and energy structure.
CMIC closely follows the development tendency of green energy and moves forward with meticulous implementation in wind energy. It has accumulated rich project experience and technologies and fostered a number of interdisciplinary and professional personnel with overall technical capabilities. In 2022, CMIC continues to make efforts in the area of wind power, cooperates with the State Grid Corporation of China, CHN Energy and CRRC, and produced notable results. Specifically, in collaboration with CRRC, CMIC has competed the projects of the four bases in Baise, Liuzhou, Jiamusi and Jidong, with a total area of 350 thousand square meters.
